Hi Don & Cindi, Glad you are doing well. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We were having warm weather but when I went out to the car this morning I had to scrape ice off the windows. Bet it will be back in the 80's tomorrow. No wonder we all have colds. I like your new page, the colors are great. Have a Blessed day. Joy
I read Cynthia's post on CSC's C3 and wanted to know more about your story.
Its truly inspiring. It helps us realize that right attitude and courage can take care of most of the things. We cannot control everything that happens in our life. But we still have a choice... of either breaking down or setting an example for others to follow.
Thanks a lot for sharing !!! Wish you all the very best
I have just read Cynthia's post on CSC's C3 and wanted to thank both of you for sharing your story with all of us... it makes you think a lot ! I wish you all the best!
Don, I have just finished reading Cynthia's post all about you on CSC's C3 - and I have to say, I had a lot of thoughts as I read of your life and where you are now. I am a survivor of abuse, and much as we like to think that physical limitations and emotional/spiritual limitations are different.. the journey it leads you on and the things you learn.. at the foundation are the same... Good on you Don for sharing your 'new found' life and crying ALOUD how blessed you are to be who you are now and to have what you have... I relate to that.. and I am grateful and glad to know men such as yourself are out there talking to the 'rising generation' and letting people know .... you are only limited by your ability to 'lift' yourself (with the help of REAL friends and family) to a place and a person you never could have imagined.. God bless you Don.. and may you traverse the rest of your journey knowing that you have made a difference to my life and others just because you are who you are and you share what you share!
I just read Cindi's beautiful story on CSC's C3 - what a truly blessed family you are, and definitely an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your story and for helping others see who they really are.
Your site is an inspiration and a motive to get to know who we truly are. So often, I go through life following the dance steps without listening to the song. I am excited to be in touch with Cindi after all these years. I think what the two of you have is the greatest blessing of all.
Cindi sent me the link to your wonderful website. What an inspiring story. I work for the Paralyzed Veterans and only today have had contact with Cindi regarding interest in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games and fundraising interest.
I thank you for the opportunity to get to know you a little better through your site. Beautiful.
Don,
You are Blessed!! I met you today at Lowe's in Gainesville Virginia. I walked You out to your van with the red basket and introduced myself as a retired Army veteren. As I mentioned, your acccident has a familiar ring. My brother was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle. He was a quadraplegic. I admire your strength and determination to get on with the business of living. Today your presence was indeed an inspiration to me, a breast cancer survivor. Like you, I thank God for my wonderful like everyday!! God is Good!! Keep the faith, because your dream of going to China will be here sooner than you think.
